GKSPHONE v2.5.0: a more flexible home screen experience

GKSPHONE v2.5.0 introduces major improvements to the home screen experience, app transitions, widgets, customization options, and overall phone performance.

New widgets and a new App Switcher

The home screen is now more useful and more personal. Players can use new Bank, Clock, Contacts, Maps, Music, and Photos widgets, alongside support for custom widgets.

More control over the phone

Home screen customization has been expanded across the experience. Applications and widgets can be placed anywhere, moved between pages, and grouped into folders. Players can also enable or disable wallpaper blur from settings.

Updated visuals and smoother transitions

Application opening and closing animations have been redesigned, with new visual effects for application icons. The previous main menu and Control Center effects have also been replaced with a refreshed visual system.

The G-MD lock screen notification design has been redesigned, and the background at the bottom of the G-MD home screen has been removed for a cleaner layout.

Performance and startup improvements

This release also includes frontend and server-side performance optimizations. The old callback system has been completely removed, along with the boot screen and its related functionality. The phone now starts automatically without waiting for a boot screen.
